Bedford County Laity Club  

Regular meetings of the Bedford County Laity Club are held on the 2nd Sunday of each month except for the month of May.  Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed immediately by an inspirational program planned by the host church.  The evening is concluded with a short business session.

The Bedford County Laity Club gives three college scholarships each year to United Methodists who plan to attend a United Methodist College or University, or a school, which has a Wesley Foundation.  They also support the Community Health Clinic, and are active in the Jail Ministry.

Rutherford County Laity Club

Regular meetings of the Rutherford County Laity Club are held on the 4th Monday of each month except May, which is held on the 3rd Monday due to the Memorial Day Holiday.  Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. with the meeting and program starting at 8:00 p.m.  The host church normally has a program planned for us, which is followed by a guest speaker and concluded with a short business session.

Among many other things the Rutherford County Laity Club provides financial support and assistance for the Society of St. Andrew, Greenhouse Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Kingdom Builders, Middle Tennessee State University Wesley Foundation, and Martin Methodist College.  They also offer scholarships to individuals attending United Methodist colleges or universities.  They collect and distribute items for the Tennessee Rehabilitation Center.  Worn and tattered American Flags are collected for proper disposal.
